Jan Kwan is a writer living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She writes science fiction with a distinctly Southeast Asian flavour. Her work draws from her years of experience in the academic field, and she has since swapped writing scientific research articles in medical literature for the more exciting and imaginative realm of speculative fiction. Her interest in sci-fi was kindled by an early introduction to Star Trek: The Next Generation. When she is not dreaming up ideas for her books, she is either busy working as a hospital doctor or fulfilling mom duties at home.
